How much beer is in a keg? What is recommended for a party where there will be about 30 beer drinkers?

I'm having a graduation party and I need to know the best way to supply beer...any suggestions will be great! Thanks.|||Evite has a drink calculator.

-Food: Serve food!!! A person drinking on an empty stomach gets drunk quicker. Serve some food be it hamburgers and hot dogs or chips and dip.

-Transportation: Will you collect everyone's keys at the door or have designated drivers in the event one or more of your guests get too intoxicated to drive. Do you have enough room and bedding where you are having the party to let intoxicated people crash there?

As a host or hostess you have to consider these things. If someone gets hurt or killed in a vehicle accident and it turns out they were drunk YOU could be held liable. Not to mention, it's a pretty crappy feeling to see a classmate lying on a slab or not being able to drive or have much of a life (paying off the costs of a DUI) knowing you could have prevented it. Take these things into consideration and hopefully you will see these people again at your 20 year reunion.|||7.5 cases. I have a kegerator and have educated myself on this extensively.|||a 1/2 keg(american) is 15.5 gallons which is about 7 cases of 12oz.(its actually 7 cases and 32 oz.). a 1/4 keg is 7.75 gallons which is about 3.5 cases of 12 oz. European kegs are smaller, 1/2 are 50 liters which is about 6 cases of 12 oz. and 1/4 are 25 liters.

and as far as how much to buy, well that depends on how much your friends drink and how long the party is.

if it was my friends, well...lol
